Febuary, HealthSTATS offically launch the A-PULSE CASP® software
HealthSTATS officially launched the much anticipated pulse wave application software (A-PULSE CASP®) on the 24th February 2009 by Mr S. Iswaran, Senior Minister of State for Trade and Industry. Also present to give its well wishes to the launch was Professor Bryan Williams, a Professor of Medicine at the University of Leicester School Of Medicine, Leicester, UK. Who is internationally recognized for his ASCOT CAFE study.
A-PULSE CASP® is one of the major products developed by HeatlhSTATS team. The product has obtained the U.S. FDA 510k and Europe CEMDD clearance.It is now being used in some clinical drug trials around the world.
A-PULSE CASP® Application Software together with the BPro® device captures real time arterial pulse waves at the Radial Artery. These waveforms are used to derive the pulse-wave related clinical indices, in particular Central Aortic Systolic Pressure (CASP) and radial Augmentation Index (rAI) to assess cardiovascular health and arterial stiffness. A-PULSE is he only pulse wave analysis device in the world that can be used in a Simple Clinic setting taking less than 10 minutes.
